Music has always been a driving force in my life. Besides spending my summers singing camp songs around the bonfire, some of my most vivid childhood memories are of cleaning the house to a soundtrack of “Golden Oldies” or singing along to old country songs on the radio on long car trips.
So it came as no surprise to me that, following the stillbirth of my first child, one of the most natural outlets for my grief turned out to be music. Whether you need a little comfort of your own or want to pass this list on to any of your families that are suffering, I hope you find the following list of great songs for grieving to be helpful — wherever you are on the journey of loss.
