Hi, I’m Samantha Ward, and I’m the marketing manager here at Frazer Consultants. When it comes to social media, it’s important to stay engaged with your audience without bothering them with too many posts.
On Facebook, you want to post maybe once a day, sometimes twice a day. Typically between 1 and 4 p.m is best. When it comes to Twitter, you want to post more frequently than you do on Facebook. But don’t go overboard. Only one tweet an hour so that you give people time to reply, retweet, and interact with the tweets that you’ve already posted.
When it comes to Instagram, you want to follow the same practices as you do with Facebook, and only post one or two times a day.
With LinkedIn, since it’s more focused toward business, you only want to post once a day and you only want to post on weekdays rather than weekends. Keep in mind that these are just general guidelines, and you should really pay attention to how your audience is interacting with your posts and consider that as you go forward.
You can also use platforms like Hootsuite or Buffer to schedule your posts in advance. Here at Frazer Consultants, we use Buffer, and it’s been a wonderful thing for us. The free version of Buffer lets you schedule 10 posts in advance for all of your social media platforms.
We know that as funeral directors, your day is already full. That’s why we’ve created social media kits to save you time. Our social media kits contain tweets and Facebook posts for everyone. And our customer-exclusive kits contain even more. To download the free version of our social media kit, click the link below.
