Three funeral homes — Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, and Fisher Funeral Home in Denison — were chosen as the top funeral homes in the Texoma area. They were chosen by the Best of Texoma voters.

Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home and Curtin Funeral Home have placed collection barrels inside their facilities to collect toys during the holiday season. The toys will be donated to active military families and veterans.

Heritage Funeral Home is giving out more than one million dollars in vouchers. Each voucher is worth $1,500 and will help cover the cost of funeral expenses for community members.

Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home will host their fourth annual toy drive and community day. In the past three years, the funeral home has helped collect and donate thousands of toys to families in need.
