Has your funeral home planned anything for Employee Appreciation Day on March 1? Although you should show appreciation for your funeral home’s staff year-round, it’s the perfect time to recognize their hard work.

Below are some thoughtful ways to show your funeral home’s staff that you appreciate them.

Write them a Note.

Write them a kind note complimenting their work and reassuring them that they’re doing a great job. Or you also can tell them in person that you appreciate them.

Give them a Small, Thoughtful Gift.

A small, thoughtful gift shows your staff that you’re thinking of them and appreciate them. One idea is to get them a gift card to a local restaurant or spa. Or, if you want to step it up a notch, have a masseuse come to your facility to give everyone massages!

Buy Them Coffee.

Buying their cup of coffee is a simple, yet meaningful gesture that shows you care. You also can get some hot cocoa for the non-coffee drinkers at your funeral home.

Bake Everyone a Treat.

In addition to buying coffee, you can buy or bake everyone a little treat! Just make sure to keep any food allergies or dietary restrictions in mind.

Take Everyone Out to Lunch.

Another way to show your gratitude is to take everyone out to lunch or dinner. Or invite everyone over for a meal or cookout at your home. It would be a great opportunity to spend time with your coworkers outside of your funeral home’s facility.

Organize a Team Building Event.

Organize a fun team building event for your staff with games and prizes. Or go do a team bonding activity like watching a basketball game or going bowling.
