You asked for it… and we delivered!
Awhile back, we were talking with one of our funeral home website customers about our obituary pages. We’ve put a ton of effort into making our social memorial walls the strongest in the industry, but we’re always interested in hearing what the folks who use these pages day in and day out have to say.
His suggestion was that since more and more people are using their phones as navigation devices, wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to send funeral service location to them via text message?
We couldn’t agree more, and as of today, that feature is up and running! Now, when you open an obituary page on your Frazer-powered website, you’ll notice a box labeled “Text Directions” below each service entry.

Clicking on that box opens an entry prompt asking visitors to enter their mobile phone numbers.

Once the “Send Message” button has been pressed, a text message will be sent with the service address. Visitors can then click on the address within their phones and launch their preferred map or driving directions app when it comes time to attend the service.
It’s a little tweak, but sometimes it’s the smallest changes that make the biggest difference in terms of a family’s satisfaction with the usability and functionality of your website.
