A Los Angeles company called Boyce Studio created Planturns, urns with a planter on top that families can use to display their loved one’s ashes. The Planturns are hand made and come with a glass or ceramic plant holder and muslin bag to keep their loved one’s ashes in.

Wouldn’t it be cooler and even more meaningful if the cremains were mixed in with the soil that the plant grows in?

Great idea, but there’s a reason they are kept separate, cremains are bad for plants.
