Therapy Dog Reaches Milestone

Texas’ first funeral therapy dog, Kermit, reached a major milestone. The emotional support dog has serviced more than 100 funerals.

Another Texas funeral home, Porter Loring Mortuaries, recently hired Penelope Dear, a 14-month Lagotto Romagnolo to help assist families in grief. Penelope’s nickname is Speranza, which is Italian for hope.

Florida Funeral Home Hosts Flag Retirement Ceremony

Davis Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory helped their community properly retire the U.S. flag with their Stars and Stripes Flag Retirement Program. The funeral home will collect and retire the flags during an official flag retirement ceremony.
