With more than 140 years serving their community, Bynes-Royall Funeral Home, Inc. in Savannah, Georgia now has a historical marker to recognize the funeral home as the oldest Black-owned business in the city.

Morris-Baker Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Johnson City has a therapy dog named Kibbi, and Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes in Kingsport has a therapy dog in training named Emmie. Tetrick Funeral Home also has a therapy dog in training named Little Richie.
