Handling funeral arrangements would be made easier under new bill

The Missouri House of Representatives passed a bill Wednesday that would make it easier for people who are unavailable to handle post-death arrangements. The bill would allow a next-of-kin to designate someone to handle the arrangements if they are unavailable. The designee must be over 18 and mentally competent. It does not have to be a family member.
