Author and Nobel Laureate Toni Morrison passed away on August 5, 2019, at the age of 88. Morrison was the first African-American to win the Nobel in Literature. Some of her most celebrated literary works are “Song of Solomon” and “Beloved.” Many of her novels and other published works give an inside look at the black experience.
Morrison also was a professor emeritus at Princeton University where she was based in the Creative Writing Program. She had an impeccable talent for writing and will be missed by many.
