A recent U.K. poll found that death is no longer taboo to the people of Portsmouth. The survey results reflect a larger trend happening in the U.K. and North America. Discussing death and funeral plans with family and friends is no longer avoided or seen as a taboo topic.
The survey found that 43 percent of Portsmouth residents have already talked to someone about death and dying.
