Adam: Well one of the reasons that we like to attend NFDA it gives us the chance to meet with customers face to face. A lot of our business is done over the phone selling websites, supporting different software products we have, so it’s a nice time once a year to be able to meet with the customers that we speak with on a daily basis.
Michael: For me personally, the reason why I like to come to NFDA is to meet people face to face. It’s great to build those relationships over the phone and finally to meet people face to face. It’s just great to get to know people, you know, one on one with them, find out what they like about the site, things we can help them with.
Lexie: So there’s been some pretty interesting sessions this year, but I’d have to say my favorite one is the one I went to this morning, which was about mindfulness and meditation. I write about that a lot in my blogs about different ways funeral directors can do better self-care habits and mindfulness and meditation is a huge one, so I found it really interesting to learn more about it and step by step guide as to how to do meditation, so I actually got to do a little bit myself this morning.
Jenny: There have been a lot of interesting sessions so far, but I’d say Inside the Courthouse gave a really interesting perspective about legal issues that funeral homes are facing. And, the speaker in that session was actually featured in NFDA’s new podcast, so I learned a lot of really great information. We attend the sessions so we make sure to stay up to date on everything happening in the funeral profession, because we want to make sure we’re giving funeral directors the most up-to-date content that we can. It’s one thing to learn about new trends in the funeral profession online, but I feel that attending the sessions in person gives funeral directors a completely new perspective.
