Funeral Director Receives Disaster Training

Funeral Director Dave Allred, director of the Burley, Idaho city cemeteries, recently completed intensive disaster training with the National Disaster Medical System Group. Allred completed his training at an all-hazards training facility in Anniston, Alabama.

McKinlay Funeral Home, located in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, offers families a new option. The funeral home teamed up with a charter service to allow families the option to scatter ashes of a loved at sea.

Bennie Smith, along with his wife Shirley, has pledged $100,000 for undergraduate scholarships at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Bennie Smith Funeral Homes currently operates in 13 locations across three states.

The Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel, of Palmyra, Missouri, is celebrating their 100th anniversary. The public is invited to join on August 22 to enjoy refreshments and tour recent renovations.

New Crosses Installed on Funeral Home

Divine Mercy Funeral Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana had three new crosses installed on the roof of their funeral home. Construction on the funeral home is expected to be completed soon, and the funeral home is set to open in November.
