Jarnigan & Son Mortuary in Knoxville, Tennessee is their community’s oldest black-owned business, with their funeral home first opening in 1886.

Schulte & Mahon-Murphy Funeral Home in Lyndhurst, Ohio has a bereavement library filled with books for both children and adults who are coping with the loss of a loved one. Families can visit the library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays or make an appointment.

Wisconsin Funeral Directors Start Partnership 

Funeral directors Robert G. Betzer and Steven R. Lazarczyk have joined together to serve the Delvan, Darien, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin communities. Their funeral homes are now called Betzer-Lazarczyk Funeral Home and Steinke-Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home.
