Murdoch Funeral Homes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, are offering the Vital App for free to area families. The Vital App is an emergency app that shares medical history, contact information, and other health information vital to emergency medical services in case of a life-threatening emergency.

Cheryl Coglianese-Freburg, of the Coglianese Funeral Home located in Burr Ridge, Illinois, was recently featured in the Chicago Tribune’s Shout Out section. Shout Out is a weekly feature that highlights local community members in the Chicagoland area.

CFDA Honors North Haven Funeral Director

Porto Funeral Homes‘ Albert DeLucia was honored with the CFDA’s 2017 Special Award. DeLucia has served his community for more than 35 years.

Austin Funeral Home Creates Inspiring Art Installation

The Texas-based funeral home, Distinctive Life, created a mobile art installation. The art consists of three large metal letters, L V and E. When a person stands in the middle, the installation spells out LIVE. The funeral home created the art to “inspire family members to seize the day.”

Wisconsin Funeral Home Welcomes New Director

A.J. Holly & Sons of Waupaca, Wisconsin, welcomes their newest funeral director, Derek Reser. Reser had previously served in the U.S. Navy. After his service, Reser started his career as a funeral director in Kentucky and later began working in Wisconsin.
