Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home Honored

Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home of Fairfield, Connecticut, was honored with the NFDA’s 2017 Pursuit of Excellence Award. It was one of only 164 funeral homes to receive the award.

Funeral Director Crystal Matthews recently opened the Matthews Family Mortuary in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The funeral home plans to celebrate their grand opening on November 11th.

The Kuhn Funeral Home, located in West Reading, Pennsylvania, is celebrating their 80th anniversary. The family-owned funeral home first opened in 1937.

The West Virginia funeral home was honored with the NFDA’s 2017 Pursuit of Excellence Award. The funeral home received recognition for their James Garden Project, a community gardening project.


Ohio Funeral Home to Host Holiday Remembrance Program

The Behm Family Funeral Home of Madison, Ohio, will host a remembrance program later this month. The candlelight memorial service will include a tree of remembrance, live entertainment, and refreshments.

The Canton, Ohio, Funeral home will celebrate their 100-year anniversary this month. The funeral home originally opened in 1917.
