Fourth Annual Before I Die Festival Held Virtually 

Normally, the Before I Die Festival is an in-person event in Alburquerque, New Mexico, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they held a virtual festival from October 30 – November 2. The event’s goal is to promote death positivity and encourage open conversations about death.

Aaron “Ronny” Rivera, Funeral Director and Owner of Rivera Funeral Homes and Vice President and General Manager of Hillcrest Memorial Park and Cemetery, was elected to the Texas Funeral Directors Association’s executive board of directors.

Funeral Director Accepted into 12-Week Green Burial Practitioner Course 

Erin. E. Salie, a funeral director at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes in New York, was accepted into the green burial course through Mid-America College of Funeral Service. In the course, she’ll learn about green burial practices and can take an exam at the end of the course to become a certified Green Burial Practitioner.
