In this eBook, you’ll find tips for planning and promoting your holiday remembrance program as well as an event planning checklist. And in the media kit, we’ve included a sample invitation, RSVP, script and agenda, press release, and social media posts for your event.

Their event was a huge success, and this year was their first year hosting the event! Their funeral home was completely packed with guests. It was an evening of special poems, readings, songs, taps played in honor of veterans, and so much more. After the service, guests enjoyed a delicious catered meal.

Tips for Planning Your Own Event

Pick an Appropriate Date

Though it might be too late to plan your event this season, it’s not too early to start thinking about next year’s event! Pick a date that is near the holidays but isn’t so close that people may already have other holiday plans.

Spread the Word

Mail invitations to families you have served in recent years. Make sure to include an RSVP, so you know how many people to expect. Also, send a press release to your local media outlets. Posting about your event on social media is also a great way to get more families to come!

Send Them Home with a Gift
