Hi, I’m Samantha Ward, and I’m the marketing manager here at Frazer Consultants. Today, I’d like to talk to you about how you can make funeral services more personalized and unique.

As a funeral director, you know it’s the little details that make a funeral meaningful and memorable. The smallest touch, like incorporating grandma’s famous cookie recipe can make all the difference. Because everyone deserves a meaningful funeral, we wanted to offer some tips on how to personalize a service based on someone’s profession or hobbies.

If you’re creating a funeral service for a health professional, a good place to start is with unique memorial stationery that reflects their love for what they did. Incorporating blue and white into the floral arrangements and other aspects of the service can show off their devotion to their work. Dedicating a plaque at the hospital or clinic where the deceased worked is a great way to honor a health professional. Funerals for maintenance and trade specialists can stand out by using red and white in the floral arrangements and decorations.

If you’re creating a funeral service for someone with a special hobby or interest, you can incorporate that into their funeral. For example, if the deceased was an auto enthusiast, you can incorporate their favorite car or motorcycle into their funeral procession. If the deceased loved art or was an artist, you can display their favorite pieces at their funeral. Commissioning a sculpture or another art piece is a great way to honor the deceased and their skilled handiwork. If they were a musician, you could create a soundtrack as a memorial gift. And if they were a sports fan, you could host their reception at their favorite sports bar or play a memorial game in their honor. There are countless ways to tailor a service to someone’s interests.
